Wardrobe | Fab fashion finds under $50

INDIANAPOLIS - Fashion is supposed to be fun, but when you are worried about how your wallet may feel after this year’s springtime shopping trip, the fun seems to disappear.

With a little searching – and a little help from me – you can find deals for some fabulous items under $50 to create fantastic, eye-popping outfits and liven up your drab winter wardrobe. After all, spring is here and that means it is time to start wearing bright, cool colors.

This outfit is sophisticated as well as playful. A mixing and matching of textures on a smooth, simple dress creates a look that can work for both the workday and catching dinner or a special date after you have clocked out.

1 - The Dress:
H&M - $24.95

The vibrant green chiffon gives an airy, soft feel to your look. With an elastic waist, you’ll feel comfortable whether at work or at play. Bonus: You can still maintain that office-structured style once you add the right accessories.

2 - The Necklace
Style&Co. @ Macy’s - $34.00

Blue beads meshed with exotic shells create a chunky look that works well with your color scheme and adds some drama, playing up the vermillion green of the dress.

3 - The Belt:
Forever21 - $4.50

With so much softness going on with this outfit, you need to add some texture. This faux leather braided belt cinches in the waist, giving you a more defined shape while adding needed structure.

4 - The Bracelet:
Need Supply Co. - $14.00

Bring this outfit together with the addition of a handmade set of bracelets imported from Mali. The bright blues, greens and oranges tie the color scheme together, while their braided texture pairs well with the belt.

5 - The Shoes:
Rocket Dog @ Macy’s - $37.80

Carry on the silk/chiffon theme with these retro-style Thai silk-wrapped pumps. The lower heel works great for the office, lending a comfortable height with a touch of texture with the layered silk.

Pro-tip:
Mix and match any of these elements with jeans, or add even more pop with colored tights – yellow, blue or even a complimentary shade of green. You’ll get more bang for your buck.
