Marketing/Promotions Intern for Creative Services

This individual will be assisting the Marketing and Promotions team for the Creative Services Department at WDTN & Dayton’s CW – WBDT. This position will be an opportunity to learn about the television industry, while gaining experience in marketing a company through television, outside events and other means. Some of the main duties the intern will experience are:

• Create for local radio stations
• Organize and prepare for events
• Assist production team when getting footage for promotional use
• Assist with station contests or events 
• Brainstorm and create ideas to help market WDTN & Dayton’s CW

Production Intern for Creative Services

This individual will help the promotions team write & produce on-air promos that focus on our programming and station contests. The intern would be working with Final Cut Pro non-linear edit system. Other duties would be to help out with any promotional events that take place. This intern would learn how each department works together at a local TV station level. Keep in mind that this local TV station does not have any News programs.

Living Dayton (Lifestyle Show) Intern

The individual will be assisting with a live, daily lifestyle show on WDTN-TV. This position is an opportunity for college students who want experience working in the exciting, fast paced environment of live television. Living Dayton is a show about Dayton, for Dayton. It covers everything form fitness to fashion, from saving money to cooking up tasty dishes in our Lifestyles kitchen, and of course local entertainment. This person will play an important role in building relationships with out sales clients and guests. it is hands on training in a variety of duties associated with a live television broadcast. Applicants must be full time students and internships are for class credit only. Interns will work a minimum of 10 weeks, 15 hours per week.
