Urbana High School was the site of our WAIT2TXT presentation today.
WDTN and Dayton's CW gave away colorful thumb rings to the students as a reminder to WAIT2TXT. Holly Samuels shared a tragic story with the students and faculty about a local family that has been affected by texting and driving.
Students also had the chance to learn about what AT&T is doing to stop texting and driving from representative David Kandel. Today is actually their "No Text on Board Pledge Day." If you want to take the pledge go here: www.itcanwait.com
After the presentation five Urbana students gave their thoughts on texting and driving. They all agreed that the new texting and driving law in combination with smart phone apps and other behavior changes will help make people stop texting and driving.
