WAIT2TXT: Miami East High School

The WAIT2TXT presentation included a few videos that highlighted how texting and driving has ended in tragedy for many families.

AT&T representative Dennis Hellmann was present to talk about the company's own pledge to end texting and driving. He encouraged students to take the pledge on or by September 19th.

Deputy Todd Cooper also talked about the consequences of getting caught texting and driving. Not only can people be fined for texting and driving but you could also have your license suspended.

After the WAIT2TXT assembly concluded four seniors shared their thoughts about texting and driving.

The four agreed that they hope more teens will stop texting and driving because of the new Ohio law against it. New phone apps could also be helpful in cutting down on the texting and driving.
