Alter High School was the second school to have the WAIT2TXT Assembly which included videos from AT&T as well as WDTN.
Rob Roberts from the Kettering Police talked to students about the tragedies that he has seen over the years that all come down to distracted driving.
AT&T representative Mark Romito also highlighted what the company is doing to curb the urge of their uses who might want to text and drive. He encouraged students to download the AT&T app that sends messages to people letting them know someone is driving and cannot text back.
Four students gave their thoughts on texting and driving after the assembly. One student said that he has gotten into a habit of just locking his phone in his glove box while he's driving so the temptation to text isn't there.
