(WBDT) Dayton, OH - Looking to save more and spend less in 2012?  The first thing you need to do is alleviate unnecessary expenses.

People don't realize how their morning stop for joe adds up.  A cup of coffee here, a cup of coffee there...it could ultimately pay for a vacation!  Don't believe me, here's a little math equation.

On average a 16 oz coffee at Starbucks is $2.29.
If you're a Starbucks regular and make a stop everyday, that's $16.03 per week, $835.85 per year!  That's definitely enough to pay for a relaxing getaway.

Here's a smarter option, brew your own coffee.  It costs around five or six bucks for an 11 oz can of ground coffee. 

That 11 oz can will then produce 30-35 servings.  With an average of .17 cents per cup, you're paying an average of 62.05 for the whole year.  Talk about savings!
