Hometown: Born, raised and still reside here in Dayton.

Reaction to finding out you were the new CW Star: Stunned, then very excited!

Education: I graduated from Miami University with a degree in Mass Communication in 2004.

Industry Experience: My career in broadcasting began in high school at our radio station (WCWT) co-hosting the afternoon show. Throughout college, I continued in radio at the former Z93 (WGTZ) doing promotions. After college, I spent several years leading marketing and communications initiatives at Heidelberg Distributing (Anheuser-Busch), LexisNexis and Gallagher-Pool Wealth Management.

Family: I am married to my high school sweetheart and we are blessed with a family of six which includes, our two young boys and two golden doodles. I am lucky to have the most loving and supportive parents (both born to and married into). I have one sister who I've looked up to her my entire life. She exudes calmness, natural beauty and is one of the sweetest people you could ever hope to meet.

Why I love being a Mom: My boys make me feel like I can do anything while giving my life a sense of fullness that I never knew was possible. Plus, they make me laugh harder than anyone on the planet (when they aren't teaming up to try and overthrow my reign).

Favorite Things: Turkey sandwiches, gerbera daises, naps, country music, traveling the 50 states.

Favorite Movie: Home Alone. I incorporate lines from the movie into every day jargon and visited the actual Home Alone house in Illinois. One might say I am a bit obsessed.

Cause near and dear to my heart: Type 1 Diabetes (Juvenile/insulin-depedant) My nephew was diagnosed at age 2.

Favorite Sports Team: GO GATORS! 

Something you can't live without: A cup of hot tea.
