Jennifer "Jenn" Suhr won the gold medal in pole vaulting and ended Russian Yelena Isinbayeva's attempt at a third straight Olympic title.
She started getting involved with sports at about age six and played both basketball and track and field in college. In 2004, she was introduced to pole vaulting by coach Rick Suhr, whom she later married.
She won a silver medal in Beijing and in 2011 took her 10th national title overall.
Jenn currently holds the title for the American women's pole vaulting record both indoors and outdoors.
