Behind the Scenes with Freak Club the Web Series

Freak Club is a web series put together by FilmDayton as a kind of pilot program where professional and amateur film makers and writers could work together on a project to show to the local community.

The co-writers and creators are Alex Grizinski and Nichol Simmons. Sundance-winning filmmaker Nichol has been a long time volunteer at FilmDayton although she actually works in Los Angeles. Nichol started out as a mentor to Alex but found that the relationship quickly turned into a partnership.

The story centers around a group of high schoolers dealing with paranormal experiences. Many of the characters are eccentric and quirky. When other-worldly spirits are involved you know things are bound to get a little messy!

There are many talented people working on this project and it's exciting to see the progress so far. They just finished filming this past weekend but there are still ways to get involved and show support.
