Intern Blog: Teen Choice Awards

It's Jessi here! I have exciting news for all you Dayton’s CW fans! The Vampire Diaries’ cast won SEVEN Teen Choice Awards on Sunday. The Teen Choice Awards has teenagers vote on categories related to movies, television and music. CW shows had quite a few nominations that we are very proud of! Shows up for awards included Gossip Girl, Supernatural and the Vampire Diaries.

The Vampire Diaries took home the Choice TV Show award for the genre Fantasy/Sci-Fi. The series also won the Choice TV award for Actor AND Actress! These two awards were given to Ian Somerhalder (Damon) and Nina Dobrev (Elena). That’s pretty exciting by itself, but then Michael Trevino (Tyler) and Candice Accola (Caroline) won the Choice TV Male and Female Scene Stealer, respectively.

But that’s not all: Ian Somerhalder came in and took one of the two Choice Hotties awards! He sure had my vote!
