CW, WSU scholarship winner announced

DAYTON, OH (WBDT) - Richard Day of Beavercreek, Ohio, was awarded a four year scholarship to Wright State University by Dayton’s CW. He is an aspiring Biomedical Engineering major and was chosen through an essay contest addressing the theme “How will your degree affect the legacy you leave at the end of your career?”

Lisa Barhorst, Vice President and General Manager of WDTN-TV and Dayton’s CW expressed that “We are excited for Richard and his legacy he will leave. He is an inspiring young man with big dreams ahead.”

In order to apply for the scholarship, Richard wrote a 200 word maximum essay, addressing how a four year scholarship to Wright State University would affect the legacy he leaves at the end of his career.

Thank you to Wright State University and other sponsors including Hochman and Plunkett Grismer Auto Services, Richard Day is now on his way to beginning his legacy.
